I recently purchased a BTADP-158-LR Long Range Bluetooth Transmitter. In general, I am very pleased. However, I’m having an issue getting it to automatically reconnect to a previously paired Bluetooth receiver.
First let me describe my setup. The Digital Coax input of the BTADP-158-LR is connected to the Digital Coax Output of my first generation Sonos Connect streaming device. The BTADP-158-LR is Bluetooth paired to my Samsung HW-Q7CB soundbar. Because of other limitations of the HW-Q7CB soundbar, Bluetooth is my only option for connecting the soundbar to my first generation Sonos Connect.
I usually use my soundbar to play TV content through the soundbar’s HDMI eArc input. However, when I want to listen to music, I want to change the input of the soundbar to the Bluetooth input and listen to the already-paired connection to your BTADP-158-LR. However, it doesn’t automatically reconnect. I can only get the BTADP-158-LR to reconnect if I power cycle the BTADP-158-LR or if I tap the pairing button on the back of the BTADP-158-LR. Neither solution is very seamless since I have to open my AV cabinet to get at the BTADP-158-LR.
Do you have any suggestions on how I can get the BTADP-158-LR to automatically reconnect?
